How are you today? I want you to know that I am CRAzY about you...not in a weird freakish sort of way...but in a way that I am just CrAZY about you!...

I've known you my entire life...what an honor....!  I remember one time when I was in the 10th grade..we went to visit your family over Christmas break...one night you and I went to a movie rental place...I thought I was the coolest girl in the whole world to be seen with you...seriously...the coolest girl in the whole world... just because I was seen with you!

:) I really admire you and your spirit... you have this way about you... I see our good Lord in you..in your life.. in the way you just are YOU: Brousin...

On the Way

our home study was shipped to Lantern Lights today!

according to our social worker, it can take anywhere from two weeks to two months to find out if we have initial approval from Lantern Lights.... our big time prayer right now:

LANTERN LIGHTS will APPROVE our family to proceed with adoption

I could ramble on about all the other hoops down the road, but right now #onethingatatime

our social worker sent a cover letter with our home study to Lantern Lights requesting that our home study be sent to the specific region where Marigold lives. we requested the same thing IN our home study...no idea if Lantern Lights will grant our wishes....but THAT will be our next prayer:

I know I said #onethingatatime but this second prayer kinda goes along with the first.....

anyhow I promise to update this blog AS SOON AS I hear anything!  (for all you stalkers out there...and you know who you are! ;)  feel free to call me anytime...or send messages to check in... ;)

in the meantime I will try to entertain you with some posts from time to time...and maybe some pictures....

hopefully it wont be too long until I have some news....some GOOD news....

September First.....

ahhh.....it has been a while......here we are again at the end of the month...

our agency will try once again to submit our file tomorrow, August 31st, around noon..
..which is September 1st in Lantern Lights...

please pray that we will get logged onto Lantern Lights' special needs data base....

last month the special needs data base was "down"....... our agency can only attempt to get us logged in on the FIRST of every month....please pray September will be the month...

we we able to see a fairly recent video of Marigold...our hearts long for her....she is such a beautiful child of God....our friends, the Fantasticals, live and work and breathe at the children's home where Marigold lives. they are trying to find sponsors for all of the children in the home....will you help us find financial sponsors for Marigold??? because we are in process we are not allowed to financially support her at this time...if you are interested please send me an email susq22@yahoo.com if you would like more information on how you can sponsor other children at the children's home send me an email as well!

I will update this blog AS SOON AS we hear from our agency.......

Our agency tried to get us logged in with Lantern Lights but she kept getting the following message:

"Special Needs data base will be down for May and June"

never mind it's August!

prayers are much appreciated tomorrow!

if you are meeting us for the first time we are the Incredibles..we live in Under Water Village.... (all our names and locations are aliases btw) ;)

Abe: dad

Shore: 9yr old son
Sister Sun: daughter (she went to Heaven when she was almost 4 months old. 6 years ago)
Praise: 5 yr old daughter. she joined our family through adoption when she was 11 months old.
Dew Drop: 7 yr old daughter. she joined our family through adoption when she was 4 1/2 yrs old.
Brother Moon: 2 yr old son
Marigold: 9 yr old in process to adopt her...


almost one year ago a really cool family came to stay with us for one night as they were preparing to pack up and move to Lantern Lights. we will call them the Fantasticals. and boy are they fantastic! after they left Abe and I began talking about what it is that God is calling us to at this moment in our lives? through a few conversations with a few different people..and to make a VERY long story short... we believe that God is calling us to pursue the adoption of a beautiful 9 year old girl, Marigold. I know right?!?!?!? I was just as surprised as you are. Marigold lives in Lantern Lights, the same country where Praise and Dew Drop are from. God is with her. we started the paper chase in January...

I wish Sister Sun was here to join in on this excitement. some day we will be reunited in Heaven and I can thank her for all the wonderful things she taught me. thank you Heavenly Father for her.

for the past few years Shore has been asking us if we could adopt a girl his age or older. he said he has always wanted a twin sister. Marigold and Shepherd are basically twins. and from everything we hear about Marigold..I think the two of them will share a very special bond. oh please dear Father let her become our sister/daughter.

we had our home study updated on Sister Sun's birthday...what better way to celebrate her life!?!? our initial immigration approval was granted on Brother Moon's birthday....so here we are...

our agency let us know that on august first (july 31 our time) our file will be sent to Lantern Lights in attempt to have our file logged in. then we will find out if they will approve our family... particularly our family size.... will you please join us in prayer? this is a HUGE obstacle as they have no real rules in place...just case by case, family by family decisions. many changes have taken place in Lantern Lights...in the way adoptions are being processed. making it much more difficult for families to be matched with specific children..

we believe that God has brought us on this journey for a reason. and though I was hesitant at first. it is becoming harder and harder to imagine Marigold NOT a part of our family. I feel a different type of urgency with her than I felt with Praise and Dew Drop. praying for the peace of God to guard our hearts and minds.

so that's the scoop. will you join us in prayer for this sweet child of God? please pray that we will find favor with the Lantern Lights... please pray that we will be granted this amazing honor of being Marigold's family. God be with us all.
